What's included

A license counts Macs, not people. Each Mac where it's active uses one seat, so if you use Flick on a desktop and a laptop, choose 2 Macs.

Your license key

Licenses are sold through Dodo Payments, our payment provider and the merchant of record. Right after you buy, you'll get an email from Dodo Payments with your receipt and your license key. That key is your license: it's what you'll paste into Flick on each Mac.

Keep that email. It's the easiest way to find your key again when you set up another Mac, and its address is how we'll find your order if you ever need help.

Keep your key to yourselfAnyone with your key can use your seats. Don't post it publicly or show it in screenshots, and leave it out of support emails unless we ask for it.

Activating Flick

You'll activate each Mac once, with an internet connection. There's no account or sign-in: the key is all Flick will need.

  1. Install Flick

    If Flick isn't on this Mac yet, the installation guide walks you through it, including the Accessibility permission.

  2. Paste your key into Flick

    Copy the key from your purchase email and paste it into Flick on this Mac. Every window will unlock straight away.

  3. Repeat on your other Macs

    Each Mac you activate will use one seat, up to the number of Macs you bought. A license for 2 Macs works on both at the same time.

What activation sends

To activate, Flick sends your license key and a label for this Mac (never its name, serial number or your user name) to Dodo Payments, which keeps count of your seats. A licensed Mac will check its license again now and then when it's online, and keeps working offline in between. If it can't check for about two months, it switches to the free version until it can, and one successful check brings every window back. Nothing about your windows is ever sent. Privacy policy

Moving to a new Mac

Your license will move with you. Free the seat on the Mac you're leaving, then use it on the new one.

  1. Free the seat on your old Mac

    Open Flick on the old Mac and remove your license from it there, while it's online. That Mac will go back to the free version, and its seat will be free again.

  2. Activate your new Mac

    Install Flick on the new Mac and paste your key.

Old Mac lost, broken or already sold?Email support@flicknav.com from the address you bought with, and we'll free its seat for you.

Reinstalling Flick on the same Mac won't use another seat. Deleting it won't free one, either: if you're selling or giving away a Mac, free its seat in Flick first, then remove Flick.

Bought for 1 or 2 Macs and need another? Need Flick on more than 3? Email support@flicknav.com from the address you bought with, tell us how many Macs you need, and we'll take it from there.

Lost your key?

Search your inbox for the purchase email first: your key is in it. If you can't find it, email support@flicknav.com from the address you bought with and we'll send it again.

Without a license

Without a license, Flick is the free version. It switches between your 5 most recent windows and never expires. A license unlocks every window.

If you free a Mac's seat or get a refund, Flick will keep working on that Mac as the free version. Your settings, like shortcuts, appearance and ignored apps, will stay just as you left them.

Refunds

If Flick isn't right for you, email support@flicknav.com within 7 days of buying for a full refund. After a refund, your license will be turned off and Flick will go back to the free version on your Macs. Read the refund policy.
